Enrollment Checklist
The Northampton Community College application process is easy, free, and 100% online! Complete the items below to enroll and begin your journey with us. We’re home to diverse types of learners: high school students and veterans, dual-enrollment and international students, adult students, and previous OG真人官网 students returning for re-admission. Wherever you’re coming from—in life or in the world—we’re eager to welcome you into our community.
Step 1 - Apply Online
The Northampton Community College application process is fast, easy, and free! Log onto our Admissions Portal to create an account and start your application. Make sure to fill out your application completely before submitting it. Check out this short video if you need help.
After you've completed your application, check the personal email account you entered in your application. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an email with your username and temporary password for your Workday Student Portal (OG真人官网's student information system) along with the next steps for our admitted students.
We also encourage all new applicants to sign up for one of our online Admitted Student Sessions which are designed to provide you with information about registering for classes and OG真人官网's systems and processes. Sign up for a session here.

Step 2 - Apply for Financial Aid
All students should apply for financial aid whether they think they will qualify or not. Completing your FAFSA is the gateway to unlocking all of your potential financial aid options like grants, scholarships, work-study, and more. To complete the FAFSA, you’ll need to gather some important documents (like your federal tax information, other income information, and social security number). After you submit your FAFSA, please respond promptly to any requests for additional information from the OG真人官网 Financial Aid Office.
Here’s how to get started:
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov.
- Complete the PA State Grant Form if you’re a resident of Pennsylvania at PHEAA.org.
- Apply for OG真人官网 Scholarships. We have one of the largest scholarship programs in PA and award over 600 each year. Review our scholarships here and then apply here.
Once you have submitted your FAFSA and applied for any additional aid, you can move onto step 3 while our team is processing your information.

Step 3 - Submit Transcripts & Determine Placement
In order to set you up for success, it’s important for us to review your educational history to determine your placement. Therefore, we require all students to submit official transcripts from any high school(s) or college(s) attended. If you took AP exams, you can request a score report through your College Board account. If you earned a GED or state high school equivalency diploma, you may send a copy to OG真人官网.
Official transcripts must be sealed and can be sent electronically or via mail to the addresses below:

If students can’t be placed into college-level English or Mathematics using their high school record, SAT scores, or previous college courses, then it’s likely placement testing will be required. Placement testing information can be found here. If you have any questions about placement, contact the Academic Advising Office at 610.861.5346 or advinfo@bookuo.net.
Step 4 - Connect with Your Navigator/Advisor, Register for Classes, and Attend a New Student Event
New and returning students will be assigned a Success Navigator/Academic Advisor. Guests and visiting students are not assigned advisors and should utilize drop-in advising for assistance.
All students must connect with a Success Navigator/Academic Advisor prior to registering for classes. Your Success Navigator/Advisor will assist you with understanding program requirements, academic planning, and transfer exploration. They'll also connect you with resources and student organizations to provide a more all-inclusive, rewarding experience while you’re here. Things to do before you meet with an Advisor:
- Submit your Starfish Intake (To access the Starfish Intake, log-in to this link, click on 3 lines in the top left corner of the web page and click on “Intake”.)
- Look at program maps and search for classes in Workday.
- Decide what class format you feel will best suit you so you can discuss your options with your Success Navigator/Academic Advisor.
After working with your navigator/advisor to select classes, you can register for classes in your Workday Student Portal. Check out these videos if you need help getting started. Note that the course registration process isn't complete until you click on the "Start Registration" and "Register" buttons below your schedule.
